Your blurry photocopies and phone photos, into editable text.
Upload photos of handwritten notes, scanned PDFs or library photocopies. ExamFlow digitizes them with advanced OCR and turns them into material ready for exams, summaries and flashcards.
"My syllabus is blurry photocopies and phone photos that not even Google understands."
How OCR works
Built so you don't worry about format — upload anything, ExamFlow handles it.
- 1
Upload any format
Phone photos, scanned PDFs, Word with images, photocopies. Everything is converted to PDF first.
- 2
OCR processes each page
Recognizes printed text, handwriting, formulas and tables. If a page can't be read well, we tell you so you can retake it.
- 3
Text ready to study
The result is organized by topic and ready to use. You can now generate exams, summaries and everything else.
Why ExamFlow's OCR is different
OCR isn't just extracting text. It's leaving it ready for the AI to use.
Recognizes handwriting
Legible handwritten notes go in fine. For especially complex handwriting, we tell you if OCR confidence is low.
Photocopies and old books
Stains, shadows, skewed scans. ExamFlow normalizes the image before OCR to get the most out of it.
Formulas and tables
Detects basic math structures, simple tables and diagrams. Preserved in the digitized text.
Multi-page without effort
Upload a 300-page scanned PDF and processing runs in the background. We tell you when it's done.
Photo from your phone
Take a photo with the camera and upload. ExamFlow corrects perspective and lighting before OCR.
Material ready for everything
Once digitized, generate exams, summaries, flashcards, outlines and Recite. No rewriting.
Rewriting vs digitizing with OCR
What takes you hours rewriting by hand, ExamFlow does in minutes.
Without ExamFlow
- You spend hours rewriting your notes to digital just to make them searchable.
- Library photocopies are illegible when you zoom in.
- Once digitized, it's still just text — nothing generated.
- Handwritten notes = unusable for anything digital.
With ExamFlow
- Snap, upload and in minutes you have searchable text.
- OCR normalizes the image and extracts text even with low quality.
- The text enters the pipeline automatically: topics detected, exams, summaries, flashcards.
- Legible handwriting becomes functional material for everything.
OCR — frequently asked questions
What handwriting does it recognize?
Print of any font and reasonably legible handwriting. For very complex or careless handwriting, accuracy drops — we tell you if OCR confidence is low.
Which languages does it support?
Optimized for Spanish. Also works with English, French, Italian, Portuguese, German and other Latin-script languages.
How long does processing take?
Roughly 1-3 seconds per page. A 50-page scanned PDF is usually ready in 2-3 minutes.
Is there a page limit?
Trial: 25 pages total. Paid plans: generous monthly limits depending on your plan.
Does it recognize math formulas?
It detects basic formulas (powers, fractions, roots, simple integrals). For very math-heavy topics, we recommend checking the result and editing manually if needed.
Are my photos kept?
ExamFlow keeps both the original document and the digitized text. You can view both at any time or delete the original if you only care about the text.
